A private development company, working with Ferguson Waterworks, incorporated Beemats Floating Wetlands into the stormwater treatment system for a new residential construction project in east Volusia County. In January and February 2022, we installed 28,192 square feet of floating wetland islands, covering 5 % of the surface area in  seven stormwater ponds, totaling 12.85 acres in size. We will maintain these wetlands on a regular basis, harvesting biomass and nutrients from the ponds and analyze the results to determine pollution reduction efficiencies.
